LOCA’S HISTORY
LoCa’s story started in the 1990s, when Thorkild Lundsgaard realised the need for a beautiful and functional coat rack.
HARRIT & SØRENSEN
Design agency Harrit & Sørensen designed KNAX in the early 90s, and the coat rack remains one of the agency’s best-selling designs.
HarritSørensen is a Danish design company founded by partners Thomas Harrit and Nicolai Sørensen in 1991. From their office located north of Copenhagen, HarritSørensen offers design services to a wide range of clients around the world.
In 1993, HarritSørensen designed the KNAX coat rack in collaboration with Thorkild Lundsgaard from LoCa, which to this day remains one of their best-selling products. Today, KNAX is sold all over the world and they have subsequently helped design more products, which means that today LoCa has a larger product portfolio.
After many trials and countless prototypes later, Thorkild and the designers came up with just the right combination of soft and hard material to create the perfect coat rack for the modern home.
